Spot UV is a highlight, not a whole-card coating, so it works best on bold, high-contrast elements, your logo, name or a key graphic, where the raised gloss stands out against the matte.
Keep any printed text at least 5pt so it stays legible, and avoid placing the gloss over very fine lines or tiny text, where the effect is lost. Mark the areas you want raised, and we'll set it up and show you on the proof.

What is spot UV printing?
It's a finishing process added after the card is printed: a clear gloss is applied to selected areas, your logo or name, and cured so it sits raised above the matte surface. That's what gives the card its see-and-feel contrast.
Is spot UV the same as spot gloss, 3D or raised printing?
Yes, they're all names for the same finish. Spot gloss, raised print, 3D UV and UV coating all describe a clear gloss raised over selected parts of the card, so whichever term you searched, this is it.
Is the spot UV on one side or both sides?
The spot-UV gloss is applied to one side, the side with your logo and key details, while the card is printed in colour on both sides. That way you get branding front and back, with the raised highlight where it matters most.
What GSM are the cards?
