A custom paper box from Kraftix is a printed paper box built to your product, not pulled off a shelf. We print it in full colour on 300 GSM ITC board ā thick enough to hold its shape on a shop shelf and survive courier handling, with a smooth coated surface that takes fine print and photography cleanly. Full colour means photographs, gradients and detailed multi-colour artwork all reproduce well, with no limit on how many colours your design uses, so you're not restricted to the one or two flat colours of screen printing.
The box itself is a tuck-end mono carton: a single-piece folding box with tuck-in flaps that close the top and bottom, cut to the size and shape of your product. Everything about it is yours to decide ā the size, the artwork and the finish. We print and make these boxes in Kolkata, so a local order and a courier order run the same way.
Getting the size right
If you know your product's exact size, the length, width and height and add about 2mm to each side, so the box slides on without forcing and the product doesn't rattle once it's inside. For example, a 50 Ć 35 Ć 35 mm product becomes a 52 Ć 37 Ć 37 mm box ā those three numbers are all we need to cut the box to fit.

Choosing a finish
The finish is where a plain printed box starts to look like a brand. You pick one:
- Matte lamination for a soft, muted surface that resists fingerprints ā good when you want the look to stay subtle.
- Gloss lamination for a shiny, reflective surface across the whole box. It's less common in retail packaging now, where matte, spot-UV and foil tend to lead, but it still suits some product styles.
- Spot-UV emboss to raise and highlight one element, like a logo or product name, as a clear, glossy, slightly 3D coating that stands out against the finish around it.
- Raised foil in gold or silver for a metallic accent that catches the light ā the finish people reach for on gift packaging and higher-end product lines.

How do I set up my artwork so nothing gets cut off?
Send your design as an Adobe Illustrator or vector PDF file for the sharpest print ā a 300dpi PNG works well too. Extend your background 3mm past the cut line so no white edge shows if the cut shifts slightly, and keep all text and logos 3mm inside the cut line so nothing important sits too close to the edge.

What's the minimum order for custom boxes?
Ten boxes. That's the minimum for any custom paper box on this page, which lets you print a genuine run for a launch or a first stockist order without committing to thousands. The same minimum applies whatever size or finish you choose.
Can you print my exact box size?
Yes. We cut every box to the length, width and height you give us, so it fits your product rather than forcing you into stock sizes. Send us your product's exact size and we'll add about 2mm to each side so it slides in without forcing.
Do you print in full colour or a limited number of colours?
Full colour. Photographs, gradients and detailed multi-colour artwork all print well, with no limit on how many colours you use. This is different from single- or two-colour screen printing, where the design has to be reduced to a few flat colours.
What finishes can I choose from?
Four: matte lamination, gloss lamination, spot-UV emboss, and raised foil in gold or silver. Matte and gloss cover the whole box; spot-UV and foil are accents you apply to one element like a logo. Use one finish alone, or combine a base lamination with a foil or spot-UV highlight.
What kind of box styles do you offer?
A tuck-end mono carton: a single-piece folding box with tuck-in flaps top and bottom, cut to your product's size. It's the standard mono carton style, quick to pack by hand, and works for most products across cosmetics, food, gifting and more.
What material are the boxes made from?
300 GSM ITC board. It's thick enough that the box holds its shape on a shelf and survives courier handling, with a smooth coated surface that prints full-colour artwork and photography cleanly. It's the same board across our printed boxes.
Will I see a proof before my entire order is printed?
Yes, a free digital proof. After you place your order, we send a proof showing exactly how the printed box will look, so you can check layout, colours and text. Nothing goes to full print until you approve it.
What artwork format do you need?
An Adobe Illustrator or vector PDF file gives the sharpest print, and a 300dpi PNG works well too. Extend the background 3mm past the cut line (bleed) and keep text and logos 3mm inside it (safe zone), so nothing important is lost if the cut shifts. If you only have a logo or a rough design, tell us and we'll guide you.
Can we see a design proof before ordering?
Yes. Upload your design in custom design and view a 3D mock-up before you place your order. This is a preview only; the final proof is shared by our technical designers after you order, and we print only once you approve it.
How long does it take to get my boxes?
We dispatch 5ā7 business days after you approve the proof; delivery time after that depends on your location and courier. We ship through Bluedart, DHL and DTDC. The 5ā7 days is production time, so the clock starts once your proof is signed off.
Do the boxes arrive flat or assembled?
Flat. The boxes ship folded flat and take up little storage or shipping space. A tuck-end box locks into shape in a few seconds when you're ready to pack.
